Creating the Dolls
Creating the Dolls
All of the dolls you see are One-of-a-Kind… created exclusively by me with my own two hands.
I sew the bodies of cotton and stuff and needle-sculpt them into figures reminiscent of times gone by, with feminine corseted waists and delicate, sloping shoulders.
I hand-sculpt the heads and limbs from clay and hand-paint and age them to give a soft, time-worn appearance. I choose their fabrics and laces from my extensive collection of vintage and antique fabrics. I have sourced many of my fabrics on my travels to England and France, and the doll’s unique qualities reflect this scarcity of materials.
I accessorize them with vintage and found objects and handwritten sentiments.
I strive to make each a work of art in true heirloom quality that will be enjoyed by generations to come.
Please understand that the doll you are purchasing is made entirely by me, from hand-sculpting and hand-painting to costume design. Every hand stitch and stroke of the brush is executed by my own hand. I lovingly pack and ship each doll myself so it reaches you with the utmost care. All of our conversations are between you and me exclusively. I have no staff, use no AI, and the quality and precision are executed at all times by me personally. You will understand that this attention to detail ensures your investment results in you owning a true heirloom. As such, I appreciate your patience and understanding with the time required to craft your heirloom doll.
Thank you so much for ensuring that handmade art continues to thrive.
